On May 29th, 2017, Academy 147 extended the scope of its GCAA CAR 147 Maintenance Training Approval to include new courses and aircraft. This is part of the company’s plan to extend its reach in the GCC region and better serve its customers.
This approval added the Falcon 2000 series, Falcon 900 series, Falcon 7X/8X, and the Gulfstream G550 at B1/B2 ratings. This includes both current models of the aircraft as well as classic models of the Dassault Falcon 2000 and 900 aircraft.
Additionally, several C/T4 (Level 1) courses were added including the Falcon 900 series, 2000 series and the 3 latest Gulfstream models, the G450, G550 and G650. Academy 147’s Level 1 courses are a unique blend of maintenance and continuing airworthiness training on type. They cover the necessary ATA chapters and systems as well as maintenance planning tips, intervals, special tooling required and even troubleshooting scenarios which could occur whilst managing the continuing airworthiness of the particular aircraft type. This also includes how to use the aircraft’s documentation, check part availability and more.
The Level 1 courses can be tailored to your company and aircraft, delivered on site at a reasonable rate and can help give your employees a basic understanding of the aircraft, its systems, instruments, installed powerplant, APU as well as the airworthiness aspects related to the aircraft.
According to Andy Trinchero – Managing Director of Academy 147. “We have found that companies benefit by sending employees from different departments on the Level 1 courses, including Maintenance Planners, Quality Managers, Warranty Department, Spares, Engineering as well as Sales and Customer Relations Staff. Level 1 courses can help employees do their job more effectively and understanding the aircraft helps them better assist the customers. We often plan courses on-site for our customers so that they can train a group of employees without the stress and costs involved with sending everyone abroad for training. We also offer open courses where they can travel to us to train 1 or 2 team members”
