Engine Ground Run Training (EGR) is designed to equip aircraft maintenance engineers with the right skills they need to successfully and safely perform an engine run up. EGR is normally done after heavy maintenance to ensure that the engine is properly fit for operation.
The EGR course is intended for business aircraft.
The EGR training contains both theoretical and practical sessions. The theoretical classroom training is followed by the participants completing an actual ground run on a live aircraft.
At Academy 147 we cover a variety of topics.
The topics include: Engine Limitations, Indications, Safety Precautions and procedures and situational awareness in the event of an emergency.
After completing the Engine Ground Run Training, participants are required to complete an assessment in which their knowledge and understanding will be evaluated by one of our instructors. Upon completion of the training, participants will be issued a certificate for having successfully completed an “Engine Ground Run and Assessment”.
