Courses, Registration and Payment
All courses include the required course materials and all examinations. On-site courses will generally not include lunches or refreshments Course Fees do not include flights, visas, transportation or hotel reservations; however, assistance can be provided. All quoted prices are exclusive of VAT when applicable. Prepayment is required prior to the course starting date and full receipt of payment prior to the release of certificates.
Course Durations and Dates
All training course dates and durations are subject to change. Information presented on the website may not be indicative of the latest course durations and this can vary depending on various factors including the approval, type of course as well as other factors, i.e. Public Holidays. Course durations are to be communicated in writing by Academy 147 prior to start of the training.
Course Cancelations
Students will receive a final confirmation that the course will be held at least 14 days prior to the scheduled start date. Academy 147 reserves the right to cancel or reschedule our training courses up to 14 days before the scheduled starting date. Should the scheduled course be cancelled, registered students will be entitled to a full refund, or a credit note towards any future courses held by Academy 147 Limited. Alternate dates may be proposed in the event of a cancellation. Cancellations by the participants must be made in writing 30 days before the start of the course and are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Any cancellations made less than 30 days before the start of the course will result in 100% forfeiture of the course fees. Academy 147 cannot be held liable for any expenses incurred on the part of the student, even upon cancellation of a course. I.e. Flights, Hotel & Accommodations.
Course Attendance
All courses require 90% attendance to be successfully completed. Practical training courses required 100% attendance.
Exams
All examinations require a pass mark of 75%. Upon failing, a student is entitled to re-sit an examination after additional tutoring has been conducted. The student is entitled to 3 attempts and after failing the third attempt, the entire course will be forfeited.
Assessments
All Practical Element courses will require single or multiple assessments by which the student must prove his/her competency to one of our Practical Assessors. This is a Pass/Fail mark assessment. If the student fails an assessment they will be allowed to attempt another assessment after additional tutoring has been performed. The student is entitled to 3 attempts and after failing the third attempt, the entire course will be forfeited.
Certificates
Certificates will not be released until full payment has been received. Certificates will only be issued to participant who meet the attendance requirements and have successfully passed all required exams and assessments. Certificates are only to be released to the company/individual that booked the training and not directly to the student unless written authorization is received to release the certificates directly to the student.
Course Materials
All materials, documents, hand out books and other teaching aids are the sole property of Academy 147 Limited as per the copyright act and may not be copied or duplicated in any way without the express permission by Academy 147 Limited.
Place of Jurisdiction
Academy 147 Limited is a Maltese registered company, therefore, any claims or disputes shall be referred to Maltese courts. Place of Jurisdiction is Malta.
