NBAA Maintenance Conference - Why A147?

At Academy 147, we take a unique approach to aviation maintenance training. Our instructors are skilled technicians with hands-on experience in the field and pass on their tribal knowledge to students.

Our training programs stand out for their flexibility, as we can offer on-location courses at short notice. Additionally, our team is dedicated to providing personalized service to each customer.

If you’re attending the NBAA Maintenance conference from May 2nd to 4th in Hartford, be sure to connect with Andy Trinchero and Henry Schofield. They are available to meet with you and discuss your specific training needs.

Initial Maintenance & Avionics

Theoretical courses can be done Virtually or classroom based on-location for our customers.  We use a variety of visual interactive media, diagrams and other training aids in conjunction with our training manuals to provide interactive learning sessions. Type courses entail regular aircraft visits and live demonstrations in an active maintenance environment.  The Practical component is an optional, specialized, hands-on, training program developed by Academy 147 whereby students will perform a variety of maintenance tasks and troubleshooting in a live maintenance environment.  This will allow for students to gain hands-on experience working on the aircraft and gaining insight into the common snags experienced during maintenance events.

We prefer a “Practical hands-on” approach to maintenance training. Each of our instructors is active in the field and up to date with the latest in-service developments.

It is our goal to give participants the practical knowledge necessary to become a confident technician, capable of troubleshooting real life maintenance scenarios as well as performing routine scheduled maintenance tasks.

Line maintenance

Our business jet, type specific, line maintenance courses cover the following:  cover the essential LRU items, basic troubleshooting and provide an overview of the aircraft’s systems, technical documentation, and important maintenance practices related to the airframe and more.

In addition to the above, a strong emphasis is given to performing specific tasks in accordance with the AMM and other available technical data, so that students can gain the knowledge necessary to be efficient and confident with day-to-day line maintenance items.  The specific tasks can be chosen by the customer.

Gen Fam

Academy 147 also offers Gen Fam / training for business jets.

Our level 1 Gen Fam training courses are catered mainly to Aircraft Operators, DOMs, Maintenance Planners, Engineers, Quality Auditors and other technical staff.

Familiarization training can even help customer service, sales and operations staff better perform their duties.

The Familiarization Training courses we offer cover the general layout and functions of the aircraft’s systems, engines and instruments as well as safety procedures and maintenance airworthiness checks related to the aircraft.
