Celebrating ATEC Day: Empowering Aviation Technicians with Academy 147
October 17th marks Aviation Technician Education Council (ATEC) Day, a day dedicated to recognizing the essential role of aviation technicians in keeping the skies safe and operational. At Academy 147, we are proud to contribute to the development and training of aviation maintenance professionals who tackle real-world challenges every day.
Today, we want to highlight the story of Tadej G., one of our recent students, and how the training he received at Academy 147 made a direct impact in the field.
Tadej’s Story: From Academy 147 to Resolving an AOG Situation
Tadej G., a flight engineer for the Slovenian Airforce working on the Falcon 2000EX, recently faced a challenging Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situation in Brussels. Thanks to the knowledge and skills he gained during his training at Academy 147, he was able to troubleshoot the issue effectively.
“We had an AIL ZERO warning light along with LH AIL and RH AIL Minelco red warnings. With the procedures I learned at Academy 147, I was able to troubleshoot and resolve the issue, identifying the problem as an aileron emergency trim actuator failure.”
– Tadej G.
In his words, the practical training provided by Academy 147 gave him the confidence and skills to handle real-world situations like this. His experience serves as a powerful example of how essential proper training is for aviation technicians who are responsible for ensuring aircraft safety and functionality.
The Value of Hands-On Training
At Academy 147, we focus on combining theory with real-world practice. Tadej shared how this approach helped him during his training:
“During the training course, each student receives the necessary information and sufficient theoretical knowledge, but it’s also crucial to dedicate time on practical. You gain the most experience when you’re forced to perform tasks on the airplane. The instructors at Academy 147, with their vast professional experience, provide valuable advice, and the feedback they offer is essential to learning new and unknown issues.”
This hands-on approach allows technicians to not only understand the theory but also apply it in real-world scenarios, giving them the confidence to handle complex issues under pressure.
Why Tadej Recommends Academy 147
Tadej shared his thoughts on why he valued the training and why he would recommend Academy 147 to other technicians:
“I am personally very satisfied with Academy 147’s type of training. Not only because of the professional knowledge provided but also because of the good human relations, learning facilities, and additional necessities they offer during training. I would recommend all technicians to train with Academy 147.”
Empowering the Next Generation of Technicians
As we celebrate ATEC Day, we acknowledge the important role aviation technicians play in the safety and efficiency of the industry. We are proud to be part of their journey, equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.
At Academy 147, we remain committed to providing top-quality training to aviation professionals, ensuring that they are prepared to meet the demands of a fast-changing industry.
