Avionics Initial Training Theoretical and Practical
Level 3
OBJECTIVES
On successful completion of one of our Avionics Initial Level 3 courses each participant will have gained knowledge on:
- All applicable ATA chapters addressing aircraft systems’ theory, operation, inspection, servicing, and troubleshooting.
- Performing system monitoring and operational tests IAW the aircraft’s technical documentation.
- The aircraft’s avionics systems.
- The details of enhanced simplified diagrams and wiring diagrams, along with the aircraft and avionics manufacturer’s technical data.
- Fault isolation and troubleshooting, working from aircraft’s maintenance manuals and technical documentation, systems operation, and the use of applicable test equipment.
Our Avionics Initial Level 3 courses can be tailored to your specific requirements. Our team has decades of experience related to avionics,
components, modifications, installations and more.
Knowledge Delivery
We use a variety of visual media, wiring diagrams, troubleshooting exercises and more to enhance the students’ overall learning experience.
In cases where an aircraft is available, we can conduct live demonstrations to give students a higher level of comprehension of the aircraft systems, and retention of course material.
We prefer a “Practical hands-on” approach to maintenance training. Each of our instructors is actively working on the aircraft and is up to date with the latest in-service developments.
Certificate
Multiple examinations and assessments will be conducted to ensure that the participant is confident and capable of performing maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and effectively navigating the aircraft’s technical documentation.
Upon completing one of our Avionics Initial Level 3 courses and successfully passing the necessary examinations and assessments, participants will receive a Certificate of Recognition/Completion from Academy 147. Currently Academy 147 is approved/accepted to issue certificates under the following authorities:
- FAA IA Renewal Accepted (Avionics Initial)
- EASA Part-147 (B2)
- GCAA CAR 147 (B2)
- CAAS SAR 147 (B2)
- DGCA CAR 147 (B2)
Practical Element
During our Avionics Initial Level 3 Practical training courses, participants will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience working on real-life aircraft.
A Practical Training is a structured on the job training program that can vary in duration. The student is given a list of tasks by which they must complete and demonstrate their capabilities as proficient technicians. Students are also assessed on their troubleshooting skills and ability to use safe and effective judgement.
We want our students to go back to their workplace feeling confident about working on the actual aircraft type and utilizing maintenance manuals and other tools to their fullest extent. It is our goal to give participants the practical knowledge necessary to become a confident avionics technician.
